Claro, one of Latin America’s leading telecommunications companies, needed to develop a new Data Processing Center to strengthen its technological infrastructure in Argentina, due to the constant growth in data traffic and the evolution of digital services.
The new infrastructure had to address several key challenges:
- The need for greater technological capacity.
- An infrastructure prepared for growth.
- High availability and operational continuity.
- Efficiency and long-term scalability.
Our objective was clear: a new Data Processing Center capable of reinforcing Claro’s critical infrastructure and bringing technological capacity closer to the main consumption nodes. This would guarantee a modern, efficient facility, ready to meet the future demand for digital services.
From there, the /fdata unit, together with the Claro team, defined the following solutions:
- Infrastructure ready for growth: We developed a new data center on a 2,647.80 m² site, with a constructed area of 736 m², designed to adapt to future expansion needs and technological evolution.
- High capacity and operational efficiency: The new infrastructure incorporates 90 expandable racks and an installed power of 650 kW for IT, offering the necessary capacity to support critical loads and high-demand digital services.
- Scalable design and future-proof vision: We proposed a solution aimed at bringing technological capacity closer to the main digital consumption nodes, optimizing the response to data traffic growth and guaranteeing a flexible infrastructure prepared for new technological scenarios.
The results were evident:
By implementing the new solutions, we strengthened Claro’s technological infrastructure in Argentina, increasing operational capacity and preparing the data center to support the digital growth of the business.
Now, the new facility offers greater scalability, efficiency, and proximity to key demand points, enabling a more flexible response to the evolution of digital services and future connectivity needs.
